CHINA TRIP 1

  HI PEOPLE! I'M BACK HOME!
This Overseas Community Involvement (OCIP) Program to China, Sichuan was fruitful.
Just a blink of an eye, 2 weeks had past.
I missed Singapore so much, my room, my family and friends.
My laptop is dusted in my room, my room is still like how it was before I left.
Everything here seems to remain the same,
the city, the airport, the citizens, the food, EVERYTHING IS THE SAME.
However, I guess the only thing that have changed is me.
How we have face things in life.
What is the difference between Pity & Passive, Privilege & Entitlement?

Pity : the feeling of sorrow and compassion caused by the sufferings and misfortunes of others.
Passive : accepting or allowing what happens or what others do, without active response or resistance

Privilege : a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.
Entitlement : the fact of having a right to something.

After knowing what's the meaning of these words, we realised that we often did not notice
about what's appropriate to see things & appreciate things.
We have also did activity every end of the day in sichuan.
Especially one of the activity that impacted me the most was the picture finding game,
where everyone has to get a part of the picture
& we are supposed to describe the picture and find our sequence without looking into the picture.
& during the discussion I realised that we made assumption recklessly without listening to other's explanation. Thus, we can't do it efficiently.
Likewise in real life,
We have to learn not to make assumption so quickly that we have forgotten how to listen to other people's explanation.

' Let the victim speaks'

Many times after knowing the whole story, it might be not as bad as you thought it will be.

After all, I am glad to be able to get chosen for this OCIP with my fellow team mates.
We fight, we serve, we love together.
This is what makes every plan go smoothly.
Although many of us has suffered, got bitten by sand flies, fall sick, fall down, phone cracked, spectacle spoilt, etc.
But these are the memorable days that we will talk back on to our friends.

'The service is not a task, it is a passion to serve.'
' Lets not let it be an end of this trip, but the start of something new'
I'm going to start a new fresh of my journey,
A good kick start to my own goal.

What is happiness?
It's to do something you love to do, without taking the account of the advantages and benefits given.

Face the reality, and fight it!
